MARY DeHART
LORETTO- Mary M. DeHart age 91 of Loretto, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, WI.
She was born in Loretto on July 5, 1918, the daughter of the late John and Magdalene (Pedrotti) Battisti.
Mary married Raymond DeHart on August 25, 1939 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Loretto. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1976.
She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan, Daughters of Isabella, Women’s League member and Tyrolian Club.
Mary worked at Americana Nursing Home in Iron Mountain for 7 years and was the police matron for Dickinson Co. Sheriff’s Department.
Her hobbies were flower gardening. She enjoyed dancing and loved animals.
Mary is survived by her sons Raymond and David DeHart of Loretto; daughters Joan (Roy) Blaz of Questa, NM and Marjorie (Ray) Corozolla of Norway; grandchildren Rebecca, Bernard, Natalie, Jeanette, Lawrence, Peter and Fabian; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Dominic Battisti and Frank Pedrotti and sisters Josephine Hinds and her twin Angeline Battisti.
The family would like to thank everyone at Maryhill Manor for their loving care. The Staff expressed their enjoyment having her as a resident.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14 from 4-7 p.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
Parish Prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Prayers will be held on Friday, January 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 11 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan with Fr. James Roetzer, presiding.
Interment will follow at the Quinnesec Cemetery. |
