BRUNO DeBARTOLO, JR.
NORWAY- Bruno DeBartolo, Jr. age 83 of Norway, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at his home in Norway.
He was born on January 22, 1927 in Highland Park, IL the son of the late Bruno and Lena (Riggio) DeBartolo.
Bruno graduated from Highland Park High School.
He owned and operated Atlas Plastering Co. in Highwood, IL for 15 years
Bruno was a former member of Lake County Plasterers Union, Northbrook Sports Club where he excelled in trap shooting.
Long time employee of Sunset Foods in Highland Park and retired to Norway, MI
He was very active in Little League. He helped build and maintain the new baseball field.
Bruno is survived by his children Mary (Gary) Mix of Carrollton, TX. Carol (Tom Carrie) DeBartolo of Highland Park, IL. Peter (Jill) of Mesa, AZ. and James of East Lansing, MI.; Grandchildren Stacy and Michael Mix, Sarah and Amanda DeBartolo; Sister Sylvia Scassellati; Brother Joseph DeBartolo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Erma Winchell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 15 from 5-8 p.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
The family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, 386 Park Ave. South, 17th Floor, New York, New York, 10016.
Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Highland Park, IL. |
