IRENE BIANCHI
NORWAY- Irene M. Bianchi age 92 of Norway, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, WI.
She was born on February 11, 1920 in Norway, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Brum) Poppe.
Irene married Clement A. Bianchi on June 18, 1938 in Norway; he preceded her in death on April 21, 2002.
She is a member of St. Mary’s Church in Norway.
Irene always enjoyed her yard and her flowers and even in her later years, wanted her yard to look nice. She also loved to bake and cook, treating family, friends and neighbors.
Irene was blessed to have special friends and neighbors who generously gave of themselves and helped keep her in her home.
Special thanks to them, to her Doctors and to the staff at Maryhill Manor who kept her comfortable during her last days.
Irene is survived by her son Jim (Marilyn) Bianchi of Iron Mountain; daughter Sandra (Gus) Blom of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren Scott (Joy) Menghini, Stacey (Rene) Herteux, Leanne (Mark) Hansford and Barb (Dean) DeRidder; great grandchildren Dayna, Nicolas and Ben DeRidder, Kyle and Eric Hansford and Tanner, Haley and Brody Menghini; sister Evelyn Poppe of Norway; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Stedman.
Family will greet friends on Friday, February 24 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Norway.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis, presiding.
Interment will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.
