JOSEPH MARX
NORWAY- Joseph D. Marx age 66 of Norway, died Monday, March 26, 2012 at Dickinson Co. Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI.
He was born on May 1, 1945 in Menominee, the son of the late Doug and Ruth (Mattson) Marx.
Joe served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.
He married Jean Skoglund on August 17, 1977 in Milwaukee, WI.
Joe worked in the Mining Industry for many years and was director of International Sales for Pyramid Parts, making many good friends along the way.
He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed fishing, camping and playing pool. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, family and his beloved pets Popcorn and Shivers.
Joe is survived by his wife Jean; sons Jeff, Matthew and Mitchell; daughters Janette and Michelle; grandchildren Alex, Jeremy, Madeline, Andrew and Jaylin; great grandson Jordan; brother Bill (Claudia) Marx of Iron Mountain; sister Jaci (Dick) Crockford of Florida; brothers-in-law Ken (Carol) Skoglund of Norway and Stewart (Lisa) Skoglund of Quinnesec; sisters-in-law Debbie (Dennis) White of Iron Mountain and Janet (Greg) Calcari of Neenah, WI; many nieces and nephews.
Family will greet friends on Saturday, March 31 from 11-1 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church with Pastor James Danielson officiating.
Interment will be held in the Norway Township Cemetery. |
