Theresa K. Chartre

NORWAY- Theresa Kristine Chartre age 46 of Norway, passed peacefully on to eternal life on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at home surrounded by her beloved family. She was born September 14, 1972 in Welch, West Virginia. She moved to Norway, Michigan in 1985. She was a 1990 graduate from Norway High School. She attended Bay de Noc Community College to pursue a career in nursing. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1999 and then attained her registered nurse license in 2010. Theresa began her career working in nursing homes. She then worked at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in the Nursing and Patient Care Services Department as a nurse for 18 years. Theresa had an amazing ability to connect with her patients in a deep and positive way. Theresa was more than just an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She was a strong, hard-working, fiercely loyal and extremely compassionate person. She was known for her refreshing honesty and love for her friends and family. Theresa’s world revolved around her family and she was extremely proud of her daughters Meghan and Marissa. Theresa enjoyed being outdoors especially camping with her family, making homemade greeting cards, and reading. She is survived by her loving daughters Meghan and Marissa Schultz; parents Grace Holleman and Frederick Flink; her brother Larry (Cindy) Bowman; sisters Susan (Gary) Moore and Sarah (Billy) Stevenson and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will greet friends on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway. A Memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church, with Pastor Jim Danielson officiating. Family suggest that donations may be made to Northwoods AirLifeline, whose volunteers gave their time and aircraft to provide free flights to the Mayo Clinic for Theresa’s care and treatment, so she did not have to endure long distance car trips.
