Theresa Lovato

THERESA LOVATO NORWAY- Theresa Lovato age 77 of Norway, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay, WI. She was born on November 19, 1927 in Norway, the daughter of the late Innocente and Ursuline (Zadra) Corozolla. She spent her childhood working on the family farm and helping care for her brothers and sisters in Vulcan. Theresa married her “Buddy” Leslie Lovato on September 16, 1950 in St. Mary's Church in Norway. They were inseparable through good times and bad. Theresa was employed at a number of nursing homes and as a hospital aide at the former Anderson Memorial Hospital in Norway and the Dickinson Co. Memorial Hospital after their children had grown until her retirement in 1983. Theresa loved to give comfort to those suffering and in pain. Theresa loved the outdoors and treasured her time at the hunting camp, fishing the Pine and picking berries. She was intensely proud of her grandchildren and thrived on their athletic and scholastic achievements, something she had missed as a child, but felt was of the utmost importance in life. She loved to paint, especially landscapes and lighthouses. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, stained glass, needlecrafts and cooking for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Leslie; son Joseph (Rebecca) Lovato of Grand Ledge, David (Kathrine) Lovato of Dunbar, WI., Richard (Audrey Eiche) Lovato of Vulcan; daughter Kathleen (Larry) Gagnon of Vulcan; grandchildren Michelle (Steven) LaBonte of Wilson, Melanie and Misty Lovato of Green Bay, Michael Lovato of Tucson, AZ., Miranda Lovato of East Lansing, Jessica Gagnon of Rochester, MN., and Brittany Gagnon of Vulcan; great grandchildren Brent and Zoe LaBonte, and Landon Gagnon; sisters Helen Whitburn of Quinnesec, Elma Hurkmans of Vulcan, Dorothy Lindbauer of Iron Mountain, Victoria (Duane) Rock of Vulcan; brother Raymond (Margie) Corozolla of Vulcan. She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Warren, Jenny Corona and Anna Pilette and her brothers Michael, Enrico and Joseph Corozolla. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Miner-Ortman Funeral Home in Norway. Parish Prayers will be at 4:30 on Wednesday. Prayers will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the Miner-Ortman Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Norway with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
