GERALD WATSON IRON MOUNTAIN- Gerald “Jawbones” Watson age 68 of Iron Mountain, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at his home in Iron Mountain. He was born on March 29, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of the late Paul and Alberta (Waldman) Watson. In his younger years he lived in Missouri, he moved to Michigan in 1967. Gerald was a member of Norway Baptist Church, and enjoyed working on Church projects. He was a member of Scott Visintainer’s Pit Crew at the Norway Speedway and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gerald is survived by his daughters Christine Watson of Loretto and Donna (Dennis) Sjoquist of Norway; grandchildren Tamara, Tyler, Timothy, and Tniya; great grandson Devin; brother James (Beverley) Watson of Quinnesec; sister Nancy (Donald) Cochran of Independence, MO; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Watson and sister Linda Rohaus. Family will greet friends on Thursday, June 2, from 4-5 p.m. at the Norway Baptist Church in Norway. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Norway Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Markham officiating.
