WAUCEDAH- Jerome T. Sarnowski age 73, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 4 after suffering a heart attack. He died peacefully at home, overlooking the pond, with his adoring wife and family at his side. Jerry was born in Milwaukee on November 14, 1941 son of the late Alphonse and Cecelia (née Bruckwicki) Sarnowski. In 1960, he married the love of his life Caecilia. On May 7, they had just celebrated their 55 year wedding anniversary. Together they raised four children in Cedarburg, WI. In 1969, Jerry and Caecilia started their land legacy when they purchased 120 acres of land in northern Wisconsin. That land has been a source of joy for four generations of Sarnowski's. Jerry and his wife and family have spent countless hours there hunting, fishing, hiking, swimming, skiing, snowmobiling and enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. Over the years, Jerry worked for Globe Union, Menasha, Sprague Electric and Ceramite Corporation. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Caecilia; two sons, Michael (Valerie) of Sheboygan, WI; Ken (MaryAnn) of Centenniel CO; two daughters, Sharon (Jon) Nelson of Mequon, WI, and Karen (Craig) Dorfler of Grafton, WI. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Andrew Sarnowski (fiancée Cassie Fischer), Dannaley (Nate) Krenz, Trenton and Reese Sarnowski; Sam, Hannah, Caecilia and Joe Sarnowski, Rebecca (Brad) Buchholtz, Joshua Nelson, Jacob, Joey and Lindsey Dorfler; three great grandchildren Alec Krenz and Brandon and Emily Buchholtz, and two sisters; Barbara Jaworski and Patricia Strauss. Also survived by brothers-in-law Al (Patricia), Francis (Barbara) and George (Lori) Ohmes; and sisters-in-law Rosalia (Michael) Hoffmann, Vivian (Ed) Wnuczek, Gladys (Joel) Piche and Ramona Kippes, 49 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Alyssa Dorfler, one greatgranddaughter, Ashlyn Krenz; his parents, Alphonse and Cecelia Sarnowski, his brother Norbert (Lorraine); two sisters, Sister Barbara Ann SSND and Loretta (Red) Littlefield; brothers-in-law, Norbert Jaworski, Max Strauss, Lawrence Ohmes, Joseph Ohmes, Sylvester Ohmes, Robert Ohmes and Norman Kippes and sisters-in-law Bernadine (Harold) Herbert and Loretta(Orvin)Page. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Barbara's Church in Vulcan, MI. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00, at St. Barbara's with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis, presiding, with a luncheon to follow in the church hall. Interment will be held at 3:00 pm at St. Edwards Cemetery, Country Road, Wagner, WI. The family request that memorials may be made to "Friends of Holy Spirit School", in Norway.
