Joseph Reimer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

JOSEPH REIMER HARDWOOD- Joseph W. Reimer age 92 of Hardwood, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Dickinson Co. Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He was born on May 15, 1916 in Iron Mountain, MI., the son of the late Walter and Joann (Martell) Reimer. Joseph graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1934. He married Letha Rice, she preceded him on February 5, 1979. Joseph owned his own business Ace Seal Rite Window Company in the Detroit area for many years, building many homes. He moved back to the Upper Peninsula in 1970 and operated his own carpentry business in Hardwood. Joseph was a member of Mission Covenant Church in Hardwood and enjoyed doing many things for the church, he was a member of the Sportsman Club and Supervisor of Breen Township for many years. He is survived by his long time friend and companion Lucille Kling; daughters Marcia Douglas of Mesa, Az., and Pamela (Gary) Hayden of Park Falls, WI; son James Reimer of Detroit; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his two sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Mission Covenant Church in Hardwood. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 12 p.m. at the Mission Covenant Church with Pastor Larry Neargarth officiating.
