Kathryn Van Gasse

ANN ARBOR – Kathryn Irene Van Gasse age 95 of Ann Arbor, Michigan died Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Arbor Hospice in Saline, MI. She was born on September 10, 1926 in Kingsford the daughter of the late Orville and Vergie (Love) Vergne. Kathryn was a graduate of Kingsford High School class of 1944 and went on to graduate from the University of Michigan School of Pharmacy. On June 7, 1948 she married Jerome Van Gasse M.D. in Iron Mountain, MI. She was a pharmacist/supervisor at the University of Michigan Hospital for over three decades retiring at the age of 70. Kathryn is survived by her sons Jerome (Melinda) Van Gasse of Phoenix, AZ, Gregory (Judy) Van Gasse of Portland, OR, Randall (Jan) Van Gasse of Norway; grandchildren Katrina Van Gasse of Denver, CO, Nicole Van Gasse of London, Paul Van Gasse of Sunnyvale, CA, Thomas Van Gasse of Dripping Springs, TX, Kristen Van Gasse of Norway, Michael Van Gasse of Green Bay, WI and two great grandchildren. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Jerome and daughter Michele Lynne Van Gasse. According to Kathryn’s wishes private family services will be held. Interment will be at the Norway Township Cemetery. A celebration of her life with friends and neighbors will be held in Ann Arbor at a later date.
