Linnea Mullins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

LINNEA MULLINS NORWAY- Linnea A. Mullins age 94 of Norway, died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Dickinson Co. Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain, MI. She was born in Norway on June 19, 1910 the daughter of the late August and Ellen (Peterson) Hellsing. Linnea married Lawrence Lee Mullins on September 8, 1942 in Chicago, IL., he preceded her in death on September 6, 1979. Together they raised their family in Niles, Illinois and returned to Norway in 1974. Linnea was the oldest female member of Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway; she was an avid Cubs fan and loved visits from family and friends. She is survived by her son Johnce Lee Mullins of Schiller Park, IL.; daughter Patricia (Thomas) Taxon of Reno, NV.; six grandchildren Sherri Mullins-Wooten, Debbie (Joe) Cook, Tracy Taxon-Gondek, Thomas (Heather) Taxon, Jr., Terri Taxon-Levercom and Theodore Taxon; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother Walter (Jane) Hellsing of Norway; and a great niece and great nephew. Linnea was preceded in death by her son Dennis Ray Mullins, infant grandson Timothy Dennis Mullins, brother Leonard Hellsing, infant sister Elsa Hellsing, stepfather John Anderson, niece Launice Hellsing-Bashford. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church with Rev. James Danielson officiating. Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery. Arrangements were made with the Miner-Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
