Mary L. Bollone

MARY BOLLONE NORWAY- Mary L. Bollone age 94 of Norway died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford, MI. She was born on January 13, 1912 in Palatka, the daughter of the late Prudent and Marion (Rabitaille) Lajeunesse. Mary married Peter Bollone on May 8, 1937 in Norway; he preceded her in death on March 19, 1970. She is a member of St. Mary's Church, Royal Neighbors, Norway-Vulcan Senior Center and former member of Hall-DeWinter Post #145 Auxiliary, Anderson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Dickinson Co. Extension Club. Mary enjoyed crafting, reading and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends, especially her famous Pasties and Raviolis. She is survived by her sons Robert (Brenda) Bollone of Norway and James (Kelley) Bollone of Faithorn; daughter Sharon (George) Pelkola of Marquette; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother Edgar (Rose) Lajeunesse of Ashland, WI; sisters Virginia Bergwall of Niagara, WI and Cecila Lajeunesse of Iron Mountain; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her son Gerald Bollone, brothers Anton, Fred and Joseph Lajeunesse and sisters Frances, Mable and Sr. (Maude) Ursulina Lajeunesse. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Miner-Ortman Funeral Home in Norway. Prayers will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Norway with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Co. Memorial Gardens.
