ROBERT MOORE NORWAY- Robert “Bud” Moore age 82 of Norway, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at the V.A. Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He was born on March 5, 1923 in Detroit, the son of the late James and Bernice (Coudriet) Moore. Bud served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II. He married Betty O’Brien; she preceded him in death in 2003. Bud worked for the City of Norway until his retirement. He was a strong supporter of the Norway athletic program, and was named Fan of the Year in 1972 by the Norway Sports Boosters. He was best known for his familiar EI-EI-O Cheer. Bud is a member of the Norvulet Post #4581, V.F.W. and the Hall-DeWinter Post #145, American Legion. Bud is survived by his daughter Beth Zweifel of Norway; sons Michael (Vonnie) Moore of Cave Creek, AZ., Dennis (Jackie) Moore of Watertown, WI., and James Moore of Hamilton Lakes; grandchildren Jennifer, Melissa (Tony), Mike, Matt, Chris, Jeff, McKenzie, Nick and Kyle; great grandchildren Jeremiah, Gabriel, and Benjamin; sister Betty Kirwan of Detroit; many nieces and nephews. Family will meet friends on Thursday, June 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Miner-Ortman Funeral Home in Norway. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Miner-Ortman Funeral Home, with Fr. Mark McQuesten, of St. Mary's Church in Norway, presiding.
