WALLACE BOUCHEY VULCAN- Wallace J. “TOB” Bouchey age 86 of Vulcan, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. He was born on February 14, 1923 in Goodman WI. The son of the late Peter and Zella (Jolly) Bouchey. Wally graduated from Norway High School in 1942. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific and Atlantic. Wally married Jeanette Massie “the love of his life” on March 8, 1947. She preceded him in death on December 20, 2000. He worked at Asselin Creamery in Norway, Ford Motor Plant in Kingsford, LaFaive Oil Company and Northland Associate Grocers, Inc. Wally was the care taker of the Dickinson Co. Fair Grounds for 28 years, an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, camping and snowmobiling. Wally was one of the founders of the Tri-County Snowmobile Club and was very active grooming the trails. He enjoyed traveling and trying new things, he even had his private pilot license for pleasure flying. He was an active member of Quinnesec Methodist Church, and Dickinson Co. Fair Board. Wally had a real zest for life and was very close to his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren perform in school activities, he was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. “Faith, Family, Friends, Fairdays, Food, and Funny Stories” Wally is survived by his daughters Darlene (David) Heupel of Quinnesec and Susan Bouchey-Hoffman of Norway; grandchildren Lisa (Michael) Reed of Quinnesec, Lynn (Pat) Porthouse of Norway, Elsa (Bill Brown) Samborski of Pembine, WI and Letty (John Galeazzi) Lantagne of Niagara, WI; step-grandchildren Nancy (Michael) Frydrych of Goodman, WI., Cody (Arlene) Hoffman of Fence, WI. and Jamie Hoffman of Portland, OR; great grandchildren Kristina, Justin, Kayla, Cameron, Brandon, Teressa, Cortney, Nick, Zachary, Hunter and Mikey; great step-grandchildren Savannah and Holly; brother Edward Bouchey of Vulcan; sister Janet Haase of Tucson, AZ; brother-in-law George LaFaive of Iron Mountain; sister-in-law Alice Branam of Gladstone; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son-in-law Ron Hoffman; brother-in-law Norman Haase; sister-in-law Edith Bouchey. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 11 at 10 a.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home, with Pastor Andy Filizetti and Pastor Pauline Rupe, officiating. Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
